I want to hire the van, what does it include and what does Gertrude need?

  • Gertrude arrives dressed to impress, accompanied by friendly and professional bartenders, front-of-house staff, and chefs where needed. We take care of everything—serve ware, barware, ice, travel, setup, pack down, and clearing glassware and bottles throughout the event (excluding disposal), all while ensuring an unforgettable experience. If you’d prefer to hire just the van without staffing, that’s absolutely an option too.

  • Access to the site is required 2 hours before service for load-in and setup, and 1 hour after service for pack down.

  • Gertrude has been tested at a maximum draw of 6 amps (approximately 700–800 watts). If power is not available onsite, a generator will need to be hired for the duration of the event.

  • Access to water is also required to fill her up. The client or venue will need to provide rubbish bins or a designated waste area so rubbish can be collected and cleared throughout the event. For larger events, we recommend hiring a cool room to ensure drinks stay as cold as possible.

  • Gertrude measures 2.3m high, 2.2m wide and 3.8m long, so she’ll need enough space onsite to truly shine.

Where are you based? How far will Gertrude travel?

  • The sky’s the limit baby! Gertrude is based in Melbourne but loves a scenic road trip. She services anywhere in Victoria and has also attended high profile soirees interstate.

Do you have a minimum hire duration?

  • Yes, our minimum hire is 6 hours. We’ll handle delivery and collection of the van, and provide you with full instructions on how to look after her during your event.
